SNG Research Participant Privacy Policy

SNG Research conducts market research to help our clients make more informed business decisions so they can provide you with the products and services you want and need. Data is collected for informational purposes only, using industry standard scientific methods. Your responses are confidential. You will not be contacted for any other purposes unless you give your consent. SNG Research is not in the business of selling or promoting anything and we never sell your personal information to third parties.

Your privacy is very important to us! We take great care to protect your privacy and the information you provide when participating in research with us, whether online, by telephone, or face-to-face.

SNG Research maintains appropriate technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect information, including, personally identifiable information received or collected by us. We review, monitor and evaluate our privacy practices and protection systems on a regular basis.

We are committed to meeting the requirements of the following laws and codes:

  • Insights Association (IA) Code of Standards and Ethnics for Marketing Research and Data Analytics
  • The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Privacy regulations for individual states

You have been invited to take part in research for one of the following reasons:

  • You are a customer of or have a relationship with a company that has hired SNG Research to conduct a survey on their behalf. In these instances, your contact information was provided to SNG Research by that company.
  • You were included in a purchased list of phone numbers, mailing addresses, or email addresses. You may also fit desired demographic characteristics, such as living in a specific area or being in a certain age range.
  • You responded to a social media post and have consented to continue with the survey to offer your feedback.
  • You have taken part in previous research administered by SNG Research or one of our clients and gave permission to contact you in the future for research purposes.

If you have been contacted by SNG Research by telephone and you would like your name to be removed from the database, let us know and we will add your phone number to our “never call” list. If you have been contacted by SNG Research via email, that email will contain an unsubscribe link you can click on to remove your email address from that list. We never knowingly invite children under the age of 18 to participate in research studies without taking measures to ensure appropriate consent from a responsible adult.

When you participate in market research, you will be asked about your experiences and opinions. You may also be asked to provide information such as gender, occupation, age, etc. which is used in aggregated form to compare how certain sub-groups of people feel compared to other sub-groups. We may occasionally collect sensitive personal information, depending on study objectives (e.g., a patient experience study). There is often a ‘prefer not to say’ option for these types of questions. We will only collect and use personal information in accordance with this policy to the extent deemed reasonably necessary to serve our legitimate business purposes, and we will maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity, accuracy, and privacy of the information you have provided.

Information we collect from you is combined with the responses/views/opinions of others who participated in the same research and reported back in aggregate form to the client that commissioned the study. It is not reported in a way that would associate specific responses to identifying or contact information like a name or email address, etc.

Processing of prizes/incentives, if offered, may require that your contact details (name and email address) be uploaded to a third party, such as Amazon or an incentive fulfillment firm, for processing. If this is the case, we will ask for your consent. This would only be for the prize/incentive to be sent out to you electronically and would not result in any marketing or follow up.

A cookie is a small text file that may be placed on your device when you respond to online surveys. This expires automatically or may be removed based on your browser or user settings. This session cookie allows us to give your visit a unique identifier so you can complete the survey. You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are being placed on your computer. You can also turn cookies off and delete those you do not want. Please see your web browsers help section for information on how to do this.

Your participation in any SNG Research survey is voluntary at all times, and we are always appreciative of your help. You are entitled to access the personal information we hold about you (which is known as a respondent access request) and you have the right to update any incorrect information. Wherever reasonable and practical we will carry out such a request. Knowing when you participated in the research and the survey topic is helpful in responding to these requests.

You also have the right to withdraw consent you gave for participation in one of our surveys at any time and request that your personal information removed. To do this, please submit your request via email to info@sngresearch.com and include the approximate date that you participated and the topic of the survey, if possible.

If you have any questions concerning your privacy, this policy, or our research, or would like to make a respondent access request, please contact us.
