SNG Research Participant Privacy Policy

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

SNG Research conducts market research to help our clients make more informed business decisions so they can provide you with the products and services you want and need. Data is collected for informational purposes only, using industry standard scientific methods. Your responses are confidential. You will not be contacted for any other purposes unless you give your consent. SNG Research is not in the business of selling or promoting anything and we never sell your personal information to third parties.

Your privacy is very important to us! We take great care to protect your privacy and the information you provide when participating in research with us, whether online, by telephone, by mail, or face-to-face.

SNG Research maintains appropriate technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect information, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII) received or collected by us. (PII is information such as name, phone number, or email address that can be used to distinguish an individual’s identity. This information allows us to contact the individuals we invite to participate in our research surveys, but is not used after the survey is complete.) We review, monitor, and evaluate our privacy practices and protection systems on a regular basis. As a further safeguard, we regularly delete PII in our possession when the research study is complete and that information is no longer needed.

We are committed to meeting the requirements of survey research and data privacy related laws and codes, including:

  • Insights Association (IA) Code of Standards and Ethics for Marketing Research and Data Analytics
  • The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Privacy regulations for individual states

PARTICIPATING IN MARKET RESEARCH

You have been invited to take part in research for one of the following reasons:

  • An organization that you are or have been connected with has hired SNG Research to conduct a survey on their behalf and has provided your contact information for the purposes of this research only.
  • You fit desired demographic characteristics, such as living in a specific area or being in a certain age range, and our client is interested in hearing from people like you. Your contact information was included in a purchased list of phone numbers, mailing addresses, or email addresses of individuals matching those demographic characteristics.
  • You responded to a social media post and have consented to continue with the survey to offer your feedback.
  • You have taken part in previous research and gave permission to be contacted again if further research was conducted.
  • Please note that we never knowingly invite children under the age of 18 to participate in research studies without taking measures to ensure appropriate consent from a responsible adult.

When you participate in market research, information we collect from you is combined with the responses/views/opinions of others who participated in the same research, and reported back in aggregate form to the client that commissioned the study. It is not reported in a way that would allow the client to associate specific responses to PII like a name, phone number, or email address.

The survey will ask about your experiences and opinions. You may also be asked to provide personal information such as gender, occupation, age, etc., which is used in aggregated form to look at how certain sub-groups of people feel compared to other sub-groups. We will maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity, accuracy, and privacy of the information you have provided.

Processing of prizes/incentives, if offered, may require that those wishing to receive the prize/incentive provide contact details (name and email address) which will be uploaded to a third party, such as Amazon or an incentive fulfillment firm, for processing. This is only for the prize/incentive to be sent out electronically and will not result in any marketing or follow-up.

A cookie is a small text file that may be placed on your device when you respond to online surveys. This expires automatically or may be removed based on your browser or user settings. This session cookie allows us to give your visit a unique identifier so you can complete the survey. You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are being placed on your computer. You can also turn cookies off and delete those you do not want. Please see your web browser help section for information on how to do this.

Your participation in any SNG Research survey is voluntary at all times, and we are always appreciative of your help. You are entitled to know whether we hold any PII about you and, if so, request that we remove it. If you have been contacted by SNG Research to participate in a survey and would like us to verify whether we have any PII about you, please fill out this form

If you have been contacted by SNG Research by telephone and you would prefer not to be contacted by phone in the future, let us know and we will add your phone number to our “never call” list. If you have been contacted by SNG Research via email, that email will contain an unsubscribe link you can click on to opt out of any further emails about that survey.

If you have any questions concerning your privacy, this policy, or our research, please contact us.
